Josh is originally from Cheltenham, and now works, studies and lives in Bristol. From his earlier academic years, he always strived to combine numerous interests, spanning both the Arts and Science realms. It was clear photography would feature in his life somehow, but for a long while it was a difficult decision between pursuing the biological sciences, or committing to a photographic practice. The struggles and fears of 'it not working out' caused a lot of resistance and uncertainty.
Now in hindsight, Josh still retains that broad web of interests, and is already making things work out. Whilst still in his final year of his undergraduate degree, he has made full use of his time and is already working for a number of ongoing, well respected clients. His most recent project, 99 Peace Walls has been featured in many publications, including the prolific British Journal of Photography (2017).
After graduation later in 2018, Josh has ambition to continue straight on to the MA Photography Degree, which will allow him more time to become the full-rounded photographer he greatly aspires to be.
